New Delhi: The Oil Manufacturing Companies (OMCs) have decided to increase the Dealer Commission paid to petrol pump dealers, a move that is expected to benefit consumers living in the remote areas of the country as the prices of petrol and diesel are likely to increase. record a significant decline.

Meanwhile, Union Minister of State for Petroleum and Natural Gas Hardeep Singh Puri welcomed the announcement and said it is a Dhanteras gift for the people.

He added that consumers will get better services but prices of petrol and diesel will not increase.

He pointed out that the increase in dealer commission will provide better services to around 7 crore citizens who visit our fuel shops in the country every day, without increasing fuel prices.

Hardeep Singh Puri further said that the fulfillment of this demand which has been pending for seven years will bring joy and happiness in the lives of petrol pump dealers and nearly 10 lakh staff working at over 83,000 petrol pumps across the country.

“The way for these historic decisions was paved by positive decisions taken by the Modi government and all petrol dealer associations who met in our meetings over the past few months and agreed to withdraw all pending legal cases on issues related to marketing discipline.
