After becoming the music industry’s go-to for a hit single, Playboi Carti finally released his long-awaited, much-delayed album. MusicIn typical Carti style, the self-proclaimed King Vamp didn’t give fans much to go on, let alone a solid release date for the album, but he did offer hope in the form of a new single, “All Red.”

In addition to trading in the high-pitched, squeaky voice we’ve heard him employ on a number of releases for a deeper, Future-esque flow, “All Red” also marks the first official streaming release Carti has shared since 2020. Very much redLike many of Carti’s songs, the track was first announced through snippets on social media, though he did perform the song in its entirety during his headlining performance at Lyrical Lemonade’s Summer Smash in Chicago in June.

Carti’s new flow fits his usual approach to wordplay, giving “All Red” a menacing yet playful vibe. It’s certainly a good sign for Music that Carti seems fully motivated and is actually releasing new music again.

But just because he hasn’t released any official music doesn’t mean we haven’t heard from him lately. Back in August, he was featured alongside Drake on the leaked track “No Face,” which also remains unofficial.
