This week you can play one of the most highly anticipated RPGs of 2025 for free, but only for a limited time.

It’s fair to say that Capcom may be best known for the likes of Resident Evil and Street Fighter, but it has another massive series up its sleeve, namely Monster Hunter.

Monster hunter debuted in 2004 on the PlayStation 2, now more than twenty years later, fans of the series are looking forward to the upcoming release of Monster Hunter Wilds will be released early next year.

Powered by Capcom’s RE Engine, announced at The Game Awards 2023, Wilds is the sequel to the critically acclaimed Monster Hunter world which was first released in 2018. Understandably, fans of the series are eager to play the new game, but if you subscribe to PlayStation Plus you can get your hands on it tomorrow.

“The unbridled power of nature is wild and unforgiving, with environments changing dramatically from one moment to the next. This is a story about monsters and humans and their struggle to live in harmony in a world of duality,” reads the game synopsis.

Earlier this month, Capcom announced the open beta for Monster Hunter Wilds. If you’re a PS Plus subscriber, you’ll get early access to the beta from Tuesday, October 28 to Thursday, October 31, 2024.

If you don’t have a subscription to PS Plus or a game on PC and Xbox, don’t fear because you won’t miss out on all the fun.

The Monster Hunter Wilds beta will be available from Friday, November 1 to Monday, November 4, 2024 for gamers without a PS Plus subscription and for PC and Xbox Series X/S.

Monster Hunter Wilds will be released on February 28, 2025 for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
