Week 6 of the 2024 NFL season kicks off on “Thursday Night Football” with a huge NFC West clash as the San Francisco 49ers (2-3) travel to take on the Seattle Seahawks (3-2).

Both teams are coming off disappointing losses in Week 5 and will be eager to get back in the win column during prime time at Lumen Field in Seattle. Both teams had a seven-point lead at home and were upset on Sunday.

The Seahawks have lost two straight games after an impressive 3-0 start to the season under first-year head coach Mike Macdonald. Seattle was upset 29-20 by the New York Giants on Sunday.

The defending NFC champion 49ers are coming off a 24-23 loss at home to the Arizona Cardinals. It’s been a tumultuous start to the season for San Francisco. Running back Christian McCaffrey remains sidelined. The 49ers have a Super Bowl rematch against the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 7, but they can’t afford to overlook their division rivals Thursday night.

As of Week 6, both teams rank in the top ten in total offense (SF 2nd, 407.4 YDS/G) and (SEA 7th, 376.2 YDS/G). There is plenty of star power on both rosters, adding to the excitement of this matchup.
