    You thought you’d only get the PlayStation 5 Pro pre-order today, and that was it? Think again.

    PlayStation is celebrating the 30th anniversary of the original console with a brand new collection of limited edition PS5 consoles and accessories.

    To celebrate, PlayStation is releasing a special version of the PS5 Pro console and accessories with retro design elements and an old color scheme that pays tribute to the original PlayStation console.

    That’s not the only way PlayStation makes these limited edition consoles special.

    Each Limited Edition PS5 Pro console has an individual number indicating it is a collectible. Only 12,300 numbered consoles will be sold.

    The 30th anniversary PlayStation Pro went up for pre-order in Arizona on Thursday, September 26 at 7 a.m. and sold out in seconds, according to ign.com.

    To no one’s surprise and to the dismay of PlayStation gamers everywhere, scalpers are already listing their limited edition consoles on resale websites like eBay at a much higher price than the already expensive $999.99 that PlayStation sold them for.

    What’s in the PS5 Pro 30th Anniversary Bundle?

    Not only will the 30th anniversary edition of the PS5 Pro pay tribute to the original PlayStation console, but it also comes in a bundle with some pretty awesome bonuses:

    • Limited edition PS5 Pro console.
    • Limited edition DualSense Edge wireless controller.
    • Limited edition DualSense wireless controller.
    • Limited edition DualSense charging station.
    • Limited edition console cover for disc drive.
    • Limited edition vertical stand.
    • Original PlayStation controller style cable connector housing.
    • 4 PlayStation cable ties.
    • PlayStation sticker.
    • Limited Edition PlayStation poster (one of 30 possible designs).
    • PlayStation paperclip.

    When can I pre-order a PS5 Pro?

    To get your hands on the regular PS5 Pro coming out, you’ll need to spend $699.99 and head to PlayStation Direct and enter your PlayStation Network account information.

    You will then be added to an online queue that will automatically refresh. If selected, you will be given a time period during which you can pre-order the console of your choice and any accessories you require.

    While those who pre-order from the official PlayStation store will get first dibs, select retailers will open their own pre-orders on October 10.

    Target, Walmart, Best Buy and Amazon will be taking pre-orders for the PS5 Pro on their websites on October 10.

    The 30th anniversary edition of the PS5 Pro sold out in seconds on Thursday, but the PS5 Pro still has plenty of stock. You can pre-order on the PlayStation website or wait until retail pre-orders start on October 10.
