* No surprise that Jordan Turner had by far the best grade among Michigan State’s defensive players. The linebacker had eight tackles, five of which were labeled stops. He gave up three catches in the passing game, but for only 11 yards, and had an interception. His mark was the best of his career at Michigan State.

* Despite having just 35 rushing yards, Kay’Ron Lynch-Adams was the Spartans’ top-ranked offensive player. He was credited with four missed tackles and 23 yards after contact.

* As a team, Michigan State’s worst grade came for pass blocking. Playing with multiple new offensive linemen due to injuries, the team allowed twelve pressures, six hurries, four hits and two sacks.

* Defensively, the Spartans’ lowest numbers came in tackling, with 15 missed tackles coming against MSU, with more than half going to the team’s defensive backs.

* While Michigan State’s team grade of 59.8 was the lowest of the season, that grade was also the Spartans’ highest as a team against the Buckeyes since 2018.
