The Baltimore Ravens The social media team went viral on social media following Thursday night’s loss to the Kansas City Chiefs after a post celebrating Isaiah Likely’s bounced touchdown was criticized by X’s community notes.

The Ravens were looking for revenge in a rematch of last season’s AFC Championship game, but Baltimore trailed by one point late in the fourth quarter.

He was probably out of bounds because of a toe.

However, the play had already been posted to social media by the Ravens’ social media team at that point.

“TOUCHDOWN OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Watch it on NBC,” read a post on X.

Then came the dreaded community notes about X. These were meant to check facts and put posts into context.

“No, it wasn’t,” the note said.

The out of band game was handed over the chiefs their first win of the season and the start of their journey to the NFL’s first three-peat.

“It was definitely nerve-wracking because it looked good from my sideline angle,” quarterback Patrick Mahomes said, “but then you see his cleat at first glance. … You’ve got to wear white shoes next time. That’s my advice to him.”
