Carpenter, 25, stepped out in a sheer white dress while attending an afterparty for the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards on Wednesday, September 11, in New York City. For the party, which was held at Electric Lady Studio, Carpenter rocked a lace dress with a scoop neck, puff sleeves with bows around her wrists, and a fitted silhouette. Underneath, the “Espresso” singer wore a white balconette bra and matching underwear.

Carpenter paired her outfit with peep-toe pumps and a bag with pink and red kiss marks, a nod to her album cover, Short n’ Sweet.

Carpenter sported a full face of glamour, including blue eyeshadow blended into her crease, a highlighted inner corner, groomed brows, rosy cheeks, mascara and pink lips. Her blonde hair was styled in her signature bouncy blowout with curtain bangs framing her face.

Carpenter attended the afterparty with a friend Taylor Swiftwhich had a UFO-inspired look.

Before hitting the town, Carpenter rocked a vintage white Bob Mackie gown at the awards show. Her dress, which was once worn by Madonna in 1991, featured a plunging neckline with a sweetheart neckline, a beaded bodice and silver crystal embellishments along her neckline.

The singer wore a diamond choker, dangling earrings and chrome hoops. Her manicure featured white paint and crystal accents. Carpenter’s hair was parted to the side and worn in large curls.

Her makeup consisted of red, glossy lips, shimmery eyeshadow and extra pink cheeks.
