UTAH, Sept. 17, 2024 (Gephardt Daily) — The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for Box Elder, Weber and Davis counties that will remain in effect until at least 12:45 a.m. Tuesday.

According to the statement, wind speeds could reach up to 60 mph (96 km/h) and there is a chance of pea-sized hail.

The affected area has a population of over 500,000 people. Residents who may be outside are advised to seek shelter.
