Tonight, a line of thunderstorms will develop along a southeastward moving cold front from Northeast Texas southwestward through North Texas, Central Texas, Hill Country and Edwards Plateau. Some of those storms can produce high winds, hail and heavy rain. These storms will move southeast/east across the eastern half of Texas tonight through Tuesday morning. Some rain will still be possible across the eastern third of Texas Tuesday morning, but we expect most of the weather to end around lunchtime tomorrow as colder air moves into the state.

Speaking of colder air, snow is possible in the northwest Texas Panhandle this afternoon and tonight! About an inch of wet snow is possible in Dalhart. Wednesday looks calm before our next storm system brings rain, storms and perhaps a little frozen precipitation to Texas on Thursday and Friday.
