Sky Sports presenter Olivia Buzaglo regretted her outfit choice on Thursday after fans took to social media to mock her for resembling wrestling icon André the Giant.

After appearing on the Sky Sports Transfer Show on Thursday morning, fans flocked to social media platform X, formerly Twitter, to point out the spitting image she bore of the former professional wrestler, who was a World Wrestling Federation (WWF) legend in the 1980s.

André the Giant, also known as the ‘Eighth Wonder of the World’, was known for his staggering height of 7 feet 10 inches (2.23 meters) and his signature outfit, a one-shouldered black suit, before his sudden death in 1993 at the age of 46.

Buzaglo responded to the trolling on Instagram on Thursday, posting a mocking message with the caption: “People on Twitter are so cruel.”

The popular presenter also posted a number of laughing emojis on her Instagram story to show that she took the trolling in good spirits.

A fan wrote under a photo of André the Giant: ‘Olivia Buzaglo, I really like the outfit today.’

“They treated you dirty,” one X user added with multiple laughing emojis.

“The man raped you,” said another.

A third commented: ‘You better burn that suit right now!’

Buzaglo was involved in an awkward conversation with former UFC champion Francis Ngannou earlier this year, as the fighter appeared to flirt with her ahead of his showdown with Anthony Joshua in March.

When asked if he planned to continue watching Joshua train, Ngannou replied: “I have something else to do, and that’s you!”

The presenter has built up a significant online following, with over 60,000 followers on Instagram

Buzaglo laughed off Ngannou’s advances and later told X how she reacted to the incident, posting ‘Ahahahahaha ffs’, accompanied by a few laughing emojis.

Some fans suggested that Ngannou may have been referring to the word “you” in reference to his need to talk to more media outlets, while others were convinced he was trying to flirt with Buzaglo.
