play

Winter storms left Spectrum customers in the Redding area without internet on Wednesday.

The cable and internet service sent an announcement to customers around 10 a.m. Wednesday saying there were intermittent internet outages.

The outage affected households and businesses in several zip codes in the Northern States, including Redding.

The internet service provider said crews were expected to resolve the issue by 3:30 p.m., going against previous previous estimates announced Wednesday morning.

Spectrum officials did not specify the exact cause of the outage on the company’s website or in the alert; only that the outages were due to “severe weather” in general.

Spectrum customers can check spectrum.net for outages in their region.
