Dubai, July 30 (PTI) India’s Smriti Mandhana has risen to fourth position among batsmen while quick Renuka Singh Thakur is ranked fifth among bowlers, in the latest ICC T20I rankings released on Tuesday.

India’s opener and vice-captain Mandhana, who scored a vital 60 in the Women’s T20 Asia Cup final against Sri Lanka, moved up one place to fourth with 743 rating points.

Renuka, who took seven wickets in the tournament, is ranked fifth among bowlers with 722 rating points, moving up four places.

Renuka follows England’s Sophie Ecclestone (772) and Sarah Glenn (760) in the first two places, her compatriot Deepti Sharma (755) in third place and Pakistan’s Sadia Iqbal (743) moved up one place and is now in fourth place.

Radha Yadav, who was the fifth highest wicket-taker in the Asia Cup with six scalps, moved up to 13th position after moving up seven places.

Australia’s Beth Mooney (769) and Tahlia McGrath (762) remained the top two hitters, followed by West Indian Hayley Matthews (746) in third place and South African Laura Wolvaardt in sixth.

The biggest gainer, however, was Sri Lanka captain Chamari Athapaththu, who rose three places to sixth with 705 points after her match-winning 61 in the Asia Cup final against India.

After the Asia Cup, Pakistan’s Muneeba Ali rose six places to 35th in the T20I batsmen’s list and Bangladesh captain Nigar Sultana rose three places to 14th.

Sri Lanka’s Harshitha Samarawickrama reached 20th place after recording the highest score of 69 not out in the final.
