Today, Disney announced that instead of shutting down on December 3, Star Wars: Skeleton Crew premieres a day early on December 2 with two episodes. Along with the announcement, Disney also dropped a new trailer teasing how youngsters Wim (Ravi Cabot-Conyers), Neel (Robert Timothy Smith), KB (Kyriana Kratter) and Fern (Ryan Kiera Armstrong) are drawn into the adventure of a life with Jod Na Nawood (Jude Law) as their force-sensitive guide.

Though some of the trailer’s big set pieces feel classic Star Wars in terms of spectacle it also emphasizes how Skeleton crew is really a coming-of-age story about kids who grew up hearing stories about (and probably loving) the Jedi. It’s still unclear what Jod and his wards are up to as they run around screaming and running away from blaster fire. But it won’t be long before we all get the chance to find out for ourselves.
