Arch Manning is on the scoreboard for Texas football.

With the No. 4 Longhorns blowing out Colorado State in their Week 1 season opener, Manning entered the game in the third quarter for starting quarterback Quinn Ewers. Manning’s first drive led to his first passing score of his college career when he hit Silas Bolden on a 5-yard flip following a scramble.

The score gave Texas a 45-0 lead with 2:23 left in the third quarter. Earlier on the same drive, Manning hit receiver Johntay Cook II for a gain of 40 yards.

On his next drive, Manning added a 1-yard touchdown run to extend the lead to 52-0.

The redshirt freshman appeared in just two games last season, making his debut in the season finale against Texas Tech. Manning is part of the famed football Manning clan, as the eldest son of Cooper Manning, the grandson of Hall of Famer Archie Manning and the nephew of Peyton and Eli Manning.

Ewers completed 20 of 27 passes for 260 yards with three touchdowns and an interception before being sent off the field.
