I’ll probably stick with New Mexico. The Lobos are looking pretty good so far and shouldn’t have too many problems here. New Mexico shot 46.7 percent from the field with 44 rebounds and 23 team assists in their last win over Grambling. However, the 17 out of 26 from the row (65.4 percent) and the 16 turnovers need to be cleaned up. That means 71 or more points in every match this year.

As for Texas Southern, they have failed to reach 70 points in three of their four losses this year and have given up 78 or more points in all four of them. The Tigers will have a hard time staying close on Sunday if they don’t play near-perfect basketball — or take advantage of an unexpected meltdown in New Mexico. That probably won’t happen in the friendly confines of the Pit.
