Before the games officially kicked off on July 26, Snoop Dogg arrived early and got to try on some Ralph Lauren gear during the Team USA Welcome Experience on July 21.

Passing the torch

Before the opening ceremony, Snoop, dressed in a white Olympic tracksuit, carried the torch through the Parisian suburb of Saint-Denis as a torchbearer.

“It was emotional for all of us to see the champion hold that torch and walk out there. This is my own version of it,” Snoop said in a phone interview with NBC sportscaster Mike Tirico about how taking on the role reminded him of the time Muhammad Ali made a surprise appearance to light the Olympic cauldron at the 1996 Atlanta Games, the Washington Post reported. “I don’t want to get too emotional, but I know this is special.”

When it came time to cheer on Team USA during the women’s gymnastics qualifying meets on July 28, Snoop wore a shirt with Simone Biles’ face on it under his personalized jacket.

“We give Snoop Dogg’s shirt a perfect 10,” NBC Sports has subtitled a video from him in the special threads.

A dazzling performance

Biles put in a great performance that day, despite having twisted her calf during the warm-up. Snoop wasn’t shy about showing his enthusiasm.

Time for tennis

Snoop teamed up with tennis legend Billie Jean King to watch some tennis during the 2024 Games. For the meet-up, which both stars shared on their Instagram accounts, Snoop wore a Coco Gauff shirt.

Hometown Heroes

King posted a selfie on Instagram and revealed that it was the first time he had met the rapper, despite their shared history.

“We were both born and raised in Long Beach, California and graduated from Long Beach Polytechnic High School,” she wrote. “LBC forever in our hearts.”

Stay Cool

On July 29, as temperatures soared in Paris, Snoop tried to stay out of the sun by throwing his jacket over his head during the men’s street skateboarding finals, and he also got a little help from a pocket fan he held in front of his face.
