The Dallas Cowboys have trailed by 20 or more points in six straight home games. Read that again, take a moment and really think about it.

Does that sound impossible? Doing something for six straight games feels impossible. If you were to make a parlay on any given event, even if you were to kick a field goal, you would probably have some pretty interesting odds for six consecutive games. Establishing a deficit of at least 20 points six consecutive games building everything in your house is a different kind of horror that only we experience. Seriously, it’s just us. The Cowboys set the NFL record for this wizardry last week when they lost to the Philadelphia Eagles and extended it Monday night when they lost to the Houston Texans.

At this point, the Cowboys are more than just a bad football team. They are a bad operation, a bad franchise and a bad culture.

Here’s how we see things a day after their latest bit of humiliation.

The fact that there are 7 more games of this mess feels impossible

You didn’t read that wrong. The Dallas Cowboys have played in ten games so far and have as many as seven more to go.

Obviously we’ve said variations on this statement many times this calendar year, but normally the time we’re in the middle of (Thanksgiving is next week!) is full of so much joy or at least hope (even if it is). . misplaced) about this team.

Right now there is only chaos, dysfunction, brokenness, annoyance and frustration in every direction. That there are seven games left of this ‘ride’ feels not only impossible, but cruel. How can anyone bear to watch this for almost two more months?!

We’ve all experienced losing seasons with the Cowboys before, but for the most part, they all at least had elements that were clearly used as building blocks for the future. With so many contaminants in the water right now, it’s hard to see anything as something we’d like to carry into the future. Maybe that’s because the future is and feels so unknown, but it’s true nonetheless.

We may not even have seen the actual underside of this thing yet

This team is set and grown an NFL record for most consecutive home games trailing by 20 points? The limit of dysfunction they can reach does not exist.

But seriously, remember that the score in this game was 17-10 at halftime. In a technical and literal sense, the Cowboys were in it. Oh well, it looked like they had a slim chance as the third quarter progressed.

They lost 34-10! It happened seemingly in an instant. Not to take anything away from a team that just handled the Cowboys with ease, but Dallas simply lost to kind of an average group and by 24 points. What happens when the Cowboys play the Commanders on Sunday? Or a Bengals team bigger than them? What about when they visit the Eagles? Can the Commanders end the regular season ahead of Dallas with no home wins on the season?

It is said that when the branch breaks, the cradle will fall, but could it be that the branch only bends at this point? This team is far from done embarrassing us.

Name one thing this team is good at, because I don’t think you can do it

To be clear, I seriously wonder what the Dallas Cowboys are doing right? If you were any other NFL team this season and could trade anything with the way the Cowboys are doing, what would it be?

Brandon Aubrey? Is that the thing? Assuming this is the case, even Aubrey had a miss in this game! He also had a 64-yard field goal that the team (deservedly in my opinion) got off the board, but it’s difficult to expand the list here.

For a team that has the highest-paid player in the game, one of the highest-paid wide receivers, one of the most feared pass rushers in the world and has won a total of 36 games over the past three seasons, it’s not super shocking that we can don’t really name it An something they do that is the envy of their contemporaries? It’s clear that injuries are part of the problem and have an impact on it, but that’s quite an indictment of the extent to which everyone involved has deteriorated.
