Jake Paul and Mike Tyson will battle it out in one of boxing’s biggest spectacles this year.

The two will face off in the ring Friday night at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, in a special event that will only air on Netflix.

Compared to Tyson, Paul is a relative newcomer. He has fought an NBA player, a handful of MMA stars and Tommy Fury. He has only lost once. Tyson hasn’t had a sanctioned fight in almost two decades.

The debate automatically started over whether it would be a real fight. Paul is 27 years old and Tyson is 58. Both men could get hurt and how much of it is just hype? The bigger question was whether it is good for boxing and combat sports as a whole.

Eric Bischoff, the creative mind behind some of the biggest angles in professional wrestling history, told Fox News Digital in a recent interview that he thought it was good for boxing and that he was intrigued by the matchup.

“They did a great job,” Bischoff, who is set to appear at a Major League Wrestling event and donate his salary to Tunnel to Towers, told Fox News Digital. “I happen to know a few people who were instrumental in organizing that fight. When I first heard about this, I was like, ‘Okay, it’s an exhibition fight, I saw them, whatever.’ I’d probably still be casually interested. But this is a sanctioned fight and I’m really fascinated by it.’

“Obviously, I love the promotion. I love the hype. I’m a big fan of Mike Tyson – I’ve always been a great, great fighter. And even as a person, he’s been through a lot and paid the price. But I think he’s become quite an interesting person. I enjoy listening to him, so I can’t wait to watch it.”

Paul vs. Tyson will be the main fight of the night, with a slew of other fights on the card.
