Thunderstorms in the morning, then clear skies with sunshine in the afternoon

A powerful storm system is moving into North Texas. Heavy rain and thunderstorms are expected this morning. Storms can become intense during this period. While the main concern will be damaging winds, storms could produce some high-speed tornadoes along the leading edge of the squall line. These storms will bring heavy rainfall and could lead to some flooding issues. This activity will leave the area Monday afternoon, with clouds decreasing during the afternoon.

Cooler air will move into the region mid-week due to a strengthening cold front. Expect highs in the 50s to 60s. Low temperatures will fall into the 30s and 40s.
