Ticketmaster unveiled as Bonfire Night effigy after Oasis tour ‘fiasco’

Ticketmaster previously told the PA news agency that it does not set prices, and shared a link to its website which says costs can be “fixed or market-based”.

It is believed that ticket prices are set by promoters and not artists.

Reece Hook, who created the likeness, said: “Although our likeness features Liam and Noel Gallagher, they are not our target, it is the corporate giant Ticketmaster that we have gone with this year.

“We are all big Oasis fans and wish them a very successful tour.”

The Edenbridge Bonfire Society has been celebrating Bonfire Night for almost 100 years, but started the tradition of burning giant effigies in the mid-1990s.

Sir Winston Churchill is one of many famous figures to open the Bonfire Night celebrations in the city of Kent.

This year, more than 500 people are expected to take part in the torch relay down Edenbridge High Street on Saturday.
