TJ Finley on Alabama: ‘They may not be who they think they are’

When Alabama takes the field against Western Kentucky on Saturday night, the Tide will face quarterback TJ Finley who has a lot of confidence in his team and himself.

The former Auburn and LSU quarterback has yet to cover the Crimson Tide, but during an appearance on BookIt Sports, Finley was blunt when reviewing the 6 p.m. kickoff at Bryant-Denny Stadium.

“We have all the pieces we need to make a run this year,” he said. “Whether we go to Alabama and win or not, we’re going to show Alabama that this isn’t your average Western Kentucky that you just go over and do something like that. This is a whole new club.

“Alabama has a whole new sports team and people need to realize that they may not be who they think they are.”

But more importantly, Finley just wants to play.

“Abso-freaking-lutely,” he said. “I can’t wait to go out there with the mindset that I have right now. The way I’m in shape. The way my body feels. The weapons that we have around me. The defense that we have. The coach that we have.”
