Quarterback Julian Lewis, one of the top high school prospects in America, has committed to Colorado and coach Deion Sanders just days after decommitting from USC.

Lewis announced his decision on Pat McAfee’s show.

“I’m excited about the opportunity to get started and compete,” Lewis said. “Colorado didn’t recruit me until I got a new class, so it was really perfect timing. This is just the beginning. I trust that Coach Prime and (offensive coordinator Pat) Shurmur will help me become the player I want to be.”

The development increases the chances that Sanders will return to Colorado in 2025. Earlier this week, Sanders said he was a “standard down” in Colorado and that he is happy there.

Still, the standard can go up at any time. Of course, the standard can also be raised for Lewis.
