We can start our Saturday afternoon with an AUB Blazers vs Army Black Knights prediction as the Blazers head to West Point this weekend. These are two teams heading in very opposite directions as we approach the midpoint of the season. The Blazers under second-year head coach Trent Dilfer are 0-2 in the conference and have lost four straight games, including a crushing loss to Tulane last week, 71-20. They missed their starting QB, and they may miss him again this week, but that was the least of their worries. They were just terrible all the way through, giving up a kick return and a defensive touchdown. The Black Knights, on the other hand, have thrust themselves into national attention as they are now 5-0 and looking like quite a formidable team. I have no doubt that Army will cruise to victory here, but I think the best play in this game is the under.

Army has a lethal version of the triple option and they have scored a touchdown on their opening drive in every game this season. You simply can’t practice against this stuff. I have confidence in how this game will turn out. Tulane could get a score here and there, but if the Black Knights are ahead in the second half, the clock will disappear as Army kills entire quarters with long drives. While Army has scored a lot of points lately and may do it again on Saturday, I think my most confident bet is to bet that Army will crush the clock in the second half. If Army is allowed to play from the front, I simply don’t think there will be enough time to get over our points total. My choice for UAB vs. Army is under 55.
