In her fourth musical guest appearance op Saturday evening liveBillie Eilish performed a few songs from her critically acclaimed third studio album, Hit me hard and softwhich came out in May.

Eilish, Rolling stone‘s cover artist for the month, opening with “Birds of a Feather.” With the name of her latest album written on the bottom of her shoes, the singer-songwriter was first filmed through a transparent cube as she stood on top of it. The blue sky walls and ceiling matched the lightness of the song, which Eilish sang alongside her brother, producer and co-writer Finneas, who played acoustic guitar.

All ten issues of Hit me hard and soft debuted in the Billboard Hot 100 top 40. Saturday’s second Eilish performance, “Wildflower,” had a decidedly more somber tone and was played entirely in dark blue lighting.

Eilish last appeared on SNL last December for the show’s Christmas episode, featuring “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas” and “What Was I Made For,” the multi-award winning ballad from the soundtrack of Barbie.

She just completed three consecutive shows at nearby Madison Square Garden and is in the middle of her North American tour Hit me hard and soft. Eilish will start again in Georgia early next month before working west, finishing in Los Angeles in mid-December.

She will be in Australia early next year and in Europe in the spring.
