Resilience. That was a key word regarding the Detroit Lions of 2024. The latest example came Sunday night when the Lions erased a 16-point deficit and earned a 26-23 victory on a game-winning field goal against the Houston Texans.

Needless to say, the locker room was buzzing after the game. Head coach Dan Campbell gave another of his most important speeches after the game, which began with Campbell saying, “That is the definition of resilience.”

The Lions could have packed it in, picked up their pieces and left Houston with a 7-2 record. Instead, they maintained control of the NFC and improved to 8-1 heading into a home game next week against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
