Who will win the 2024 presidential elections?

The latest polls show that Harris has a lead, but the margin is minimal.

A six-day Reuters/Ipsos poll that ended Monday showed Harris with a 46% to 43% lead over Trump. That was little different from the 45% to 42% lead she had over Trump in a Reuters/Ipsos poll from a week earlier.

Harris may have a slight lead, but a majority of respondents favored Trump when it came to the economy and immigration. When asked which candidate could best approach the issues, Trump gave a lead 46% to 38% on the economy, and 48% to 35% on immigration.

And while voters in the poll favored Trump on immigration and the economy, Harris was seen as the better candidate when it comes to tackling political extremism and threats to democracy, with Harris leading 42% to 35% was paramount. She also led on abortion and health care policy.

With just two weeks to go until Election Day on November 5, it could be a photo finish in this race.

Liz Cheney stumps for Kamala Harris

On Monday, former Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.) made stops in Pennsylvania, Wisconsin and Michigan with Harris, in an effort to make progress in these key states with voters still undecided in this election.

Cheney and her father, former Republican Vice President Dick Cheney, recently went against party lines to support Harris for president. Liz Cheney has encouraged Republicans to “seize the moment” and vote for the current vice president.

As we meet here today, our republic faces a threat unlike anything we have ever faced: a former president who tried to cling to power by unraveling the foundations of our republic,” Cheney said during a speech in Ripon, Wisconsin, the birthplace of the Republican Party. “We cannot turn away from this truth in this election; putting patriotism above partisanship is not an ambition. It is our duty.”

Cheney helps Harris expand his base, Trump doubles down

Liz Cheney helps Kamala Harris court Republican voters, while Donald Trump doubles his gains and leads in the polls with men.

Cheney has been an open critic of Trump for years and was one of 10 Republicans who voted to impeach Trump over the January 6, 2021 attack on the US Capitol. She also served as vice chair of the House select committee charged with investigating the attempted insurrection.

Trump is taking a “hyper-masculine” approach to wrapping up his campaign

Trump has gone from bashing blue states while campaigning in some of those states, to talking about golfer Arnold Palmer’s genitals in a speech in Pennsylvania, doing a photo-op at McDonald’s and attending a NHL game in what appears to be efforts to keep the man. lock vote.

The Pennsylvania speech, which claimed Palmer was “all man,” also came filled with profanities calling Harris a “sh*t vice president.”

Trump’s approach may be on the right track to retain his most ardent supporters and encourage the turnout of low-propensity male voters, but it could also rebuke suburban female voters who were once considered key campaign targets.

“I’ve never seen anyone focus so heavily on current supporters rather than trying to expand the pool of potential voters,” said Frank Luntz, a Republican Party pollster and frequent Fox News contributor with more than three decades of political experience.

But this hyper-masculine style of campaigning, or as one of its critics has called a corrosive version of masculinity, may have some downsides, according to USA TODAY reports.

“At the end of the day, it’s all about turnout,” Luntz said. “And I can understand this strategy if you still have two or three days to go. But he’s been doing it for weeks, months even, and that means getting everyone who likes him to vote for him, and that’s very hard to do. It is feasible, but it is a tough challenge.”
