ESPN’s “College GameDay” crew is heading to Eugene, Oregon, to watch the No. 2 Ohio State Buckeyes play the No. 3 Oregon Ducks, but one of their members won’t be there all day.

Kirk Herbstreit will leave College GameDay early to broadcast the game between the No. 1 Texas Longhorns and No. 18 Oklahoma Sooners. He will serve as color commentator for the Red River Rivalry alongside Chris Fowler.

The game starts at 3:30 PM ET, and since the flight from Eugene, Oregon, to Dallas, Texas, is about three and a half hours, it will have to depart from College GameDay about an hour earlier.

Herbstreit and the rest of College GameDay have logged a lot of flight miles this year, from Ireland to Texas to Michigan and finally to Oregon. They will most likely head south again in Week 8 to attend either the Georgia-Texas game or the Alabama-Tennessee game.
