It’s so hard to say goodbye to yesterday. Boyz II People knew it. They always knew. And when it comes to what Samantha Irvin has come to mean to the WWE Universe, no words could be more accurate following her bombshell news presented to the world on Monday.

Irvin, who has become a superstar in his own right in WWE, is parting ways with the promotion.

“WWE Universe, my time as your Monday Night RAW Ring Announcer has come to an end. I love you guys so much and this doesn’t mean the end of my art. I still have a lifetime to share. Thank you to every WWE fan who accepted me.

To the women’s locker room: You are the most incredible group of people on this earth. I am beyond proud to be your colleague and friend.

To the crew and cameramen: I can’t thank you enough for the encouragement and laughs. You have created such a wonderful, positive atmosphere for me. I love you all.”

It’s unclear what her next move will be, but Irvin will likely have a plethora of options given her talent as not only a ring announcer but also a gifted singer.

Her departure comes just weeks after her other half, Ricochet, split from WWE to join AEW – in one of the more emotional kayfabe moments ever, one that left Irvin in emotional shambles as Ricochet was loaded into an ambulance after destruction at the hands of Bron Breker.

All eyes will be on Irvin to see what she does next, and what she brought to WWE will never be forgotten, and it’s possible that it will never be equaled.
