I’m A Celebrity 2024 Line-Up: All The Contestant Rumors So Far

With the new series of Strictly Come Dancing just weeks away, the spotlight is turning to the celebrities who could be signing up for this year’s I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here!

Although the reality show will not be back on the big screen until the fall, rumors are already swirling about the stars who could be taking part. Names from the television, sports and other worlds have already been mentioned in the media.

Below is a look at the celebrities who have signed up so far in 2024…

GK-Barry

Internet personality GK Barry is rumoured to have originally been part of the cast of this year’s Strictly Come Dancing, but was drawn away by the idea of doing I’m A Celebrity instead.

According to The Sun’s “source”, the YouTuber – whose real name is Grace Keeling – had held talks with the BBC about appearing on Strictly, but instead opted to continue with I’m A Celebrity in the hope of “continue her television career with ITV”.

Giovanni Pernice’s name has been in the news regularly over the past year after his former Strictly Come Dancing partner Amanda Abbington filed a complaint, leading to an investigation into the show by the BBC.

The Italian dancer, for his part, has long denied the accusations of “offensive or threatening behavior” leveled against him, insisting: ““I am cooperating fully with the ongoing BBC investigation, which will establish the truth. As requested, I have remained silent, but I look forward to the conclusion of the investigation and ultimately clearing my name and establishing the truth.”

According to The Sun, Giovanni has been on the producers’ wish list for months, mainly because he could now take part in I’m A Celebrity during the months he would normally be on Strictly.

Harry Clark

Harry Clark recently won the British series The Traitors and it looks like he’s in the spotlight again for a reality TV appearance.

Shortly after Harry’s victory, The Mirror reported that he “already inundated with requests, including one from ITV asking if he would “consider a stint in the jungle”.

Alan Halshall

Alan Halsall, best known for his role as Tyrone Dobbs in Coronation Street, was due to take part in I’m A Celebrity last year, but was forced to pull out at the last minute due to injury.

In May, The Sun reported that Alan was back in the running for this year’s line-up, having returned to film Corrie earlier that year.

Tom Daley

When former gold medallist Tom Daley announced his retirement from professional diving earlier this month, everyone was wondering what his next move would be. Bookmakers put him at the top of their list to sign up for I’m A Celebrity when the show returns in the autumn.

But despite Tom’s former diving partner Matty Lee joining I’m A Celebrity in 2021, the man himself seems less than enthusiastic.

“(Matty) said he was really enjoying it, but I just can’t imagine being away from my kids for so long and not being able to have contact with them,” Tom admitted to the Evening Standard. “I think that would be the hardest thing, so no, not anytime soon anyway.

“And the food scares me too. I really couldn’t eat a kangaroo ball. That’s not for me.”

Philip Schofield

This is a much more unlikely option given that he’s still been out of the spotlight for some time since his much-publicised departure from ITV last year, but a “source” from OK! magazine claimed earlier this year that former This Morning presenter Phillip Schofield was eyeing a TV comeback.

After being photographed taking a walk with Declan Donnelly, the magazine claimed that there was even “say Ant and Dec would love to have him on I’m A Celeb”.

No politicians

Following the double whammy of Matt Hancock and Nigel Farage, The Sun reported in February that bosses had imposed a “ban” on casting politicians in the next series of I’m A Celebrity.

Ant and Dec had previously made no secret of their hope that the casting team would not hire any politicians in 2024.
