England started their international matches in October with a dreadful 2-1 defeat at home to Greece in the Nations League.

The Three Lions were in second place for much of the evening and were deserved losers on Thursday evening.

Lee Carsley’s men continued to look vulnerable on the counter and were once again to thank for a late offside flag after Greece had the ball in the net again, with Ollie Watkins’ first touch after coming on to see him clip the crossbar.

Twice more Greece were denied a second goal due to offside, before Jude Bellingham drew England level with a super strike from the edge of the penalty area.

But deep into stoppage time, Pavlidis scored his second goal of the evening and took all three points for Greece.
