Galaxy S24 FE launch set to begin after FCC visit

A marketing image of the Galaxy S24 FE has leaked, showing the device in five colors.

In summary

  • The Galaxy S24 FE has been spotted at the FCC.
  • The listing reveals that the device has Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, wireless charging, and GNSS support.
  • Its appearance on the certification website suggests that the launch will happen soon.

Not only have leaks for the Galaxy S24 FE been on the rise in recent weeks, but so have sightings on certification sites. Just this past weekend, the handset passed by the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS). Now, the device has also been spotted on the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) website.

First captured by 91Mobile phonesThe global model of the Galaxy S24 FE has appeared on the FCC’s certification website. This device bears the model number SM-S721B/DS, which is the exact same model number that was seen on Samsung France’s support page before it was taken down.

The listing shares more than just the model number, as it confirms a few details. According to the documents, the S24 FE will have Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, wireless charging, 5G support, and GNSS support. The phone’s battery has the model numbers EB-BS721ABE and EB-BS721ABY. And it appears the batteries were tested with a charger with the model number EP-TA800, which the outlet says corresponds to Samsung’s 25W charging adapter.

While the listing doesn’t really offer any more information than this, we can glean other details thanks to previous leaks. We’re expecting the S24 FE to sport a 6.7-inch FHD+ 120Hz display, along with a triple camera setup featuring a 50MP primary lens, a 12MP ultra-wide lens, and an 8MP optical zoom lens. There are also rumors suggesting the phone could pack an Exynos 2400e processor and come with a 4,565mAh battery.

Now that Samsung’s budget-friendly option has received FCC certification, it suggests a launch could be imminent. How soon in the near future, however, is anyone’s guess.
