Here’s how the Baltimore librarian fared in a memorable confrontation with danger

Mikey McCullough, a librarian from Baltimore, was the big winner of Tuesday’s episode with $18,200, but it was Texas teacher Chris Burge ($3,000) who made headlines, revealing an ongoing battle with cancer live on the show.

McCullough, a data curator at the National Agricultural Library in Beltsville, Burge and Paul Clauson ($2,000), a tax analyst from Michigan, topped the list.

She goes on to test her knowledge on Wednesday, November 20 against a Los Angeles writer and software engineer from Seattle.

It all came down to Final Jeopardy, when McCullough was sitting decently (but not safely) at $20,200, Clauson at a manageable $11,000, and Burge was out of contention except for a $1,600 miracle.

The final clue?

The clue for “Sports & The City” was: “At 800 West Main and 700 Central in this city there is a business and a location that are both involved in Triple Crowns.”

Ironically, Burge was the only one to answer “Louisville” correctly, while Clauson had bet everything and lost, leaving McCullough, who played it safe and bet $2,000 – which would have given her the knockout blow if she had done it right – left for the final. total of $18,200.

The returning champion will look to continue her streak Wednesday at 7pm on ABC.
