    Ilona Maher became a household name this summer when she led the U.S. women’s rugby team to a bronze medal at the 2024 Olympics.

    And now she’s even more of a star after finishing in second place Dancing with the stars.

    The season finale aired Tuesday and Maher finished just behind winner Joey Graziadei. She wasn’t the only athlete to qualify for the finals, as gymnast Stephen Nedoroscik finished fourth, while former NFL wide receiver Danny Amendola finished fifth.

    Social media had a lot of love for Maher, even though she fell just short of the coveted Mirrorball Trophy:

    won’t stop thinking about how inspiring Ilona Maher is and how much Stephen Nedoroscik has done to bring attention to men’s gymnastics

    There were some memorable moments during Tuesday’s final, including Amendola dancing I’m just Ken and Nedoroscik using a pommel horse. Nedoroscik impressed on pommel horse at the Paris 2024 Games, so it is a fitting tribute.

    Maher also impressed the judges, receiving a perfect score, which was important as fan voting only made up half of the final results.

    Still, Graziadei had the upper hand over the athletes and finished the season as champions.
