JACKSONVILLE, Florida. – On August 26, dog lovers around the world come together to celebrate National Dog Day🐕, a day dedicated to the joy and loyalty these animals bring to our lives. Founded in 2004 by animal activist Colleen Paige, the day celebrates the importance of adopting shelter dogs and honoring their invaluable roles as pets, service dogs, and more🎉.

To add to the excitement, News4JAX is hosting a special National Dog Day contest for its Insiders.
