Kina Bank employees, who recently participated in the PNG Cancer Foundation Futsal Championship, demonstrated their commitment to community wellbeing by making a generous cash and legacy donation to Life PNG Care on Friday, 19th July 2024.

The total monetary donation amounted to K3,284.00 and consisted of contributions of K500 from the KORP8 Futsal Championship winnings, K1,500 from the PNG Cancer Foundation Futsal Tournament Grand Final winnings, K1,284.00 and clothing items from team staff members.

Desmond Alesana, Employee Wellbeing & OHS Advisor at Kina Bank, presented the donation on behalf of the team to Colin Pake, Senior Lecturer at Life PNG Care.

“Life PNG Care for Kids is a true charity and we are delighted to have met the children, Colin Pake, his wife and the support staff at the school,” said Desmond.

The donation, witnessed by the school’s children, teachers and staff, will make a significant contribution to Life PNG Care’s mission to support disadvantaged and vulnerable homeless children.

Colin expressed his gratitude and stressed that the donation would help ensure basic human rights for the children, including access to food, clean water, shelter and education.

This is the Futsal Team’s second donation to Life PNG Care, following their first donation in November 2022.
