Mumford and Sons headline Under the Big Sky 2025 music festival

November 18 – British folk rock band Mumford and Sons will headline the 2025 Under the Big Sky music festival, along with country star Tyler Childers and country rock act The Red Clay Strays.

The three-day event at Big Mountain Ranch near Whitefish takes place July 18-20. In addition to the headliners, the annual festival brings country, bluegrass and Americana musicians, including Oliver Anthony, Hailey Whitters, Luke Grimes and Houndmouth, to the Flathead Valley.

Pre-sale tickets are available from November 21 at 12 noon. The remaining tickets go on sale on November 22 at 12 noon.

Mumford and Sons, founded in London in the 2000s, recently released the digital compilation album ‘Gentleman of the Road’, featuring hits such as ‘Little Lion Man’ and ‘I Will Wait’. Childers’ performance in Northwestern Montana in July falls during a lengthy tour in 2025. The Red Clay Strays, which Rolling Stone describes as “arguably the hottest new act on the scene when it comes to Americana and rock music,” released last week released their first live album, “Live At The Ryman”.

The iconic Wynonna Judd is known for winning five Grammy Awards and will take the stage at the festival. Other notable acts performing at next year’s festival include country singer-songwriters Dylan Gossett and Wyatt Flores, who released his debut album “Welcome to the Plains” earlier this year, and Whitey Morgan and the 78s from Flint, Michigan.

As in years past, the Under the Big Sky stages will feature artists from Montana and the Flathead Valley, including Halladay Quist, Hannah King, The Helnore Highwater Band and Radio Ranch.
