CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Kansas City Chiefs’ Noah Gray is often overlooked because he is teammates with better-known tight end Travis Kelce. But he will be a valuable player for the Chiefs.

Gray showed it on Sunday with two first-half touchdowns against the Carolina Panthers. Gray first caught a 35-yard touchdown pass from Patrick Mahomes to put the Chiefs up 7-0.

Gray scored the Chiefs’ second touchdown on an 11-yard pass from Mahomes with 44 seconds left in the first half, giving the Chiefs a 20–6 lead.

Like his earlier touchdown, Gray’s scoring catch came on a third-and-4 play. Gray had two touchdown catches in last week’s game against the Buffalo Bills.

Gray is the first tight end with multiple receiving touchdowns in consecutive games since the 49ers’ George Kittle in 2022. Gray is also the third player this season with multiple receiving touchdowns in consecutive games, joining Ja’Marr Chase of the Cincinnati Bengals and Demarcus Robinson of the Los Angeles Rams.
