Shaboozey #1 on Hot 100, Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars Debut at #3

Shaboozey’s “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” adds a seventh nonconsecutive week at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. The single, which became the singer-songwriter’s first leader on the chart in July, claims the longest reign of 2024 outright, surpassing the six nonconsecutive weeks at the top spot held by Post Malone’s “I Had Some Help” featuring Morgan Wallen. The latter, now at No. 2, led the chart in May-July.

“A Bar Song (Tipsy)” also has the longest run this year on the multimetric Hot Country Songs chart, spending an 11th week at No. 1, surpassing Beyoncé’s “Texas Hold ‘Em,” which reigned for 10 weeks in February-April.

Also in the Hot 100’s top 10, Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars explode into the charts at No. 3 with “Die With a Smile.” The superstar duo marks the latter’s 19th top 10 and the former’s 18th.

The Hot 100 combines all genres of U.S. streaming (official audio and official video), radio airplay, and sales data, with the latter metric reflecting purchases of physical singles and digital tracks from full-service digital music retailers; digital single sales from direct-to-consumer (D2C) sites are excluded from chart calculations. All charts (dated Aug. 31, 2024) will be updated on Billboard.com on Tuesday, Aug. 27. For all chart news, follow @billboard and @billboardcharts on both X, formerly known as Twitter, and Instagram.
