Stephen Curry disagrees with teammate after Celtics-Warriors

Buddy Hield considered the Warriors’ 118-112 win over the Celtics Wednesday night at TD Garden a “statement” victory.

However, Golden State’s leader and best player didn’t see it that way.

Steve Kerr’s side certainly deserve a lot of credit for their triumph on Causeway Street. The Warriors defeated a Boston team that won seven of its first eight games, with all but one win by double digits. However, with the season still in its early stages, Stephen Curry didn’t get too wrapped up in what his team accomplished on Wednesday.

“We haven’t done anything yet,” Curry told reporters, according to ESPN. “A good team, or a relevant team, wins the games they need to win, you steal a few from good teams along the way, you protect your home court. We’ve done those things so far, but we have two more games on this road trip, two tough tests.

“So of course I like where we are right now. But (there is) still a long way to go.”

Maybe Curry will feel a little differently if Golden State ends its four-game road trip with another win. The Warriors will visit the Cleveland Cavaliers on Friday evening, who improved to 9-0 with a win in New Orleans on Wednesday.

The Celtics, meanwhile, will look to bounce back on Friday when they host the Brooklyn Nets.
