What happened to Jalen Williams? OKC’s medical staff rushes to the court after 23-year-old Star’s nasty fall against Warriors

Jalen Williams suffered a painful blow to the face during the OKC Thunder’s game against the Warriors when Jonathan Kuminga’s clumsy hand hit him in the eye during a dunk attempt. Williams was visibly shaken and remained on the ground for several moments as Thunder medical staff rushed to his aid.

After a brief period of dizziness, Williams was assisted by the team’s staff and slowly walked off the field with 36 seconds left in the first half, heading to the locker room to be evaluated. The collision occurred during a quick sequence, with JK recovering from a rough shooting start to score eight points in the second quarter.

Despite the setback, Williams appeared to get back on his feet shortly after the incident. The Thunder will likely await further updates on his condition. In 16 minutes, Williams scored 13 points, six assists and rebounds.

Interestingly, Jalen Williams made a bit of history in the process as the 23-year-old passed James Harden for 11th on Oklahoma’s all-time list for points scored. Currently, Williams has a total of 2,800 points, while ‘The Beard’ has moved to 12 with 2,787.

We now return to the status of the young forward/guard; unfortunately he is not on the ground to start the second half. 21-year-old guard Cason Wallace has taken his place for the third quarter.
