Fashion took center stage at the UBS Arena in Elmont, New York, on Wednesday for the annual MTV VMAs.

Taylor Swift wore a Christian Dior dress with black shorts and matching black boots for the musical event where she is the most nominated with 10, followed closely by her recent collaborator, Post Malone, who is up for nine awards. The two took home the night’s first award for best collaborator for their song, “Fortnight.”

“When I woke up this morning in New York on September 11th, all I could think about was what happened 23 years ago, everyone who lost a loved one and everyone we lost,” Swift said while accepting the award. “And that’s the most important thing about today and everything that happens tonight is part of that.”
