Albany Police are currently investigating a fatal attack on Central Ave. A man died after being attacked by several dogs on the 500 block of Central Avenue, according to police.

According to reports, the incident occurred around 5:55 p.m. and officers witnessed the dogs fatally attacking the man.

One of the officers fired his gun, hitting at least one of the dogs. But the man, whose name has not been released, was pronounced dead at the scene.

All dogs have been examined and police are working to properly place them.

According to police, this is an ongoing investigation.

A press conference is scheduled for 1 p.m
