Intel of Nebraska’s final home recruiting weekend of the 2024 season as Huskers impress

Nebraska’s 44-25 win over Wisconsin excited the dozens of recruits in attendance for the Huskers’ final home game. Matt Rhule and Co. needed a performance like Saturday to build momentum ahead of signing day and give the 2026 and 2027 recruits a positive reminder heading into the offseason.

The Huskers will look to parlay this momentum into a number of moves over the next two weeks and into the upcoming transfer portal season. The result and offensive output caught the attention of recruits watching from home and certainly put Nebraska in position to make runs on the top playmakers in the transfer portal. Of the recruits in attendance Saturday, Nebraska’s hospitality, the energy of the fan base, the victory and the post-game celebration left a lasting impression. The staff took advantage of the double-header and had a large number of football recruits make the short trek to the Devaney Center on Saturday night to watch the Nebraska volleyball team defeat Wisconsin. Showcasing the kind of stage that Nebraska student-athletes have in Lincoln and the fan base was a smart move by the staff to close out the final recruiting weekend before the homecoming game.

Here’s the latest information on an exciting weekend in Nebraska.
