Coachella 2025 tickets: How to buy a festival pass?

Due to rising production costs and low ticket sales, passes for the 2024 edition of Coachella did not immediately sell out for the second year in a row.

However, Coachella’s website states that “passes are no longer available” for the 2025 festival (although the phrase “sold out” was not used).

If you don’t have a pass yet but would like to participate, you can join the waitlist at coachella.com/waitlist-exchange.

Which headliners have performed at Coachella before?

Lady Gaga headlined Coachella in 2017, replacing Beyoncé after she became pregnant. It is the only time she has ever appeared at the festival.

Travis Scott also made his only Coachella appearance that same year. He was originally scheduled to headline the festival in 2020 before it was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic

Ye, the artist formally known as Kanye West, claimed he also planned to bring out Scott during his 2022 Coachella set but would not perform at all unless Billie Eilish (another 2022 headliner) apologized for comments which she made which some thought was about the tragedy of the crowd at Scott’s Astroworld Festival.

Ye ultimately withdrew from the 2022 festival and was replaced by Swedish House Mafia and The Weeknd (who split their time evenly to close out the final day of the festival).

Green Day makes its Coachella debut this spring, but frontman Billie Joe Armstrong appeared as a special guest to The Replacements during their 2014 festival set.

Post Malone last appeared on the Coachella lineup in 2018, and he also appeared as a special guest during Bad Bunny’s historic Weekend 1 Coachella 2023 set. Most recently he performed at the Empire Polo Club during his Stagecoach 2024 set, packed with special guests.

Why was the Coachella lineup released early this year?

Traditionally, Los Angeles-based promoter Goldenvoice announces the full Coachella festival lineup in early January.

But signs first began pointing to an early announcement Tuesday, when rapper and singer-songwriter Post Malone hinted in an Instagram post that he would appear on both weekends of the festival with all of his dates for what he’s calling the “Big Ass Stadium Tour’. 2025.

The first two dates on the poster read “APR 13 INDIO, CA” and “APR 20 INDIO, CA.”

The tour is specifically billed as an arena tour, and Indio is not home to arenas or other venues large enough to accommodate the same crowds as arenas – no venue other than a large field where the Coachella and Stagecoach festivals always take place. also called the Empire Polo Club.

Goldenvoice’s social media team also deleted all posts from its Instagram account, except for an April 22 post that read: “Presales start now. See you in the desert.”

They also posted an Instagram Story video of palm trees – which appeared to be on the festival grounds – waving in the wind. Although the post contained no words, it caught the attention of social media users, and speculation about the lineup began to flood the account’s only remaining post.
