Police fatally shoot man during standoff at NH Bed & Breakfast

Police shot and killed a man early Thursday morning at a bed and breakfast in Plymouth, New Hampshire, officials said.

Officers responded to the area after receiving a “disturbance call” from the Federal House Inn, located at 27 Route 25, on Wednesday afternoon, according to a statement from the attorney general’s office. They arrived to find the man armed and barricaded in the inn.

The involvement with the man was ongoing during the incident, the statement said.

The identity of the deceased person is being withheld pending notification of family, and an autopsy will be scheduled by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, authorities said. The name of the officer involved in the incident is being withheld until the conclusion of a formal interview.

There were no known physical injuries to law enforcement, the statement said.

The exact circumstances surrounding this incident are still under investigation.
